If you are new or haven’t been to our site recently, we now offer a 90 Minute IPA kit that hits 9% alcohol. It will take about a month to ferment so make it soon.
Thinking about fall? Cooler weather usually means most of us are starting to think of brewing something a little darker. For some, that will mean a brown ale; for others, that means a porter or a stout. We have many great recipe kits to meet the taste of most brewers. You will find that our Xtreme Kits do not meet the requirements of most AHA and BJCP guidelines in one or more ways. Many of our kits are extra hoppy and some have extra malt. Either way, you will find something that will interest your palate. While the pre-made kits are an easy way to make sure you will have good results. You can always do a like experimenting on your own. When picking a kit, you may have noticed that we offer several yeast options when you place an order. One of the options is a dry yeast option. We have included the dry yeast options where appropriate. The dry yeast we frequently use is made by Fermentis and is called Safale(4 varieties) and Saflager(1 variety). These yeasts are dried using a new process to preserve their characteristics. They are affected very little by heat and have a shelf life of about two years. The dry yeasts also start very quickly. We highly recommend the Fermentis yeasts.
